Dear Friends, This year, BJC will be offering four different minyanim for the High Holidays:
The Minyan you select will be for both the morning and evening services. Please only reserve a seat if you will be using it. If you will not be joining us this year, please use the check box in the "seating" section below to let us know that you will not require a seat. We are excited to offer childcare this year for the High Holidays for children ages 2-11. Pre-registration is required. Childcare will cost $30 per child per session. Important reminder: Seats for High Holidays are only guaranteed for shul members in good standing. If you have any outstanding dues or pledges (and are not on a payment plan), we ask that you please contact the shul office before the Holidays in order to settle your account. The deadline to submit your High Holiday Forms to the Shul office is Monday, September 8th. The sooner we receive your information, the more efficiently we can plan. Wishing you and your family a Shana Tova! Sincerely, Adina Landsberg Director of Operations
Once again, Boca Jewish Center is preparing our Book of Remembrance to be used throughout the upcoming New Year when we recite Yizkor. This is an opportunity for each member of our community to make a personal entry for departed loved ones. Names included in the general listing are $36 per name. We are also offering those who wish to further memorialize their departed loved ones by purchasing block announcements (Full Page - $1,200, Half Page - $600 & Quarter Pages - $300). The announcements can also be personalized. Heritage Society Members receive a full-page listing. To have the book printed and available on time for the upcoming holidays, the form (together with any personalized announcements) must be submitted to the synagogue by Monday, September 8, along with payment.
Memorial Plaques are available on our beautiful Yahrzeit Memorial Board for $360 per engraved name (Hebrew, English, and Yahrzeit Date.) The Memorial Plaque will be turned on for every holiday that Yizkor is recited, as well as the entire month of the Yahrzeit that is being observed. Please note: The Yahrzeit Memorial Board has been temporarily removed due to ongoing construction. Once construction is complete, the board will be reinstalled and all new memorial plaques will be added at that time.

One of the most powerful prayers of Yom Kippur is the melodious U’ Nesaneh Tokef which states:
“But Repentance, Prayer and Charity avert the severe decree”
We know that you will have many opportunities over the course of these High Holidays for introspection and spiritual fulfillment. The message of Yom Kippur, from Kol Nidrei up to the closing moments of Neilah, is that we have the opportunity to make a change, to make a difference. We hope when giving Tzedakah, you will consider supporting some of our important endeavors by contributing to our Yom Kippur Appeal. Your donation will make a difference.
